This is an open source webinar. Please share with friends and colleagues.

This webinar will begin by discussing the significant impact COVID-19 has had on vulnerable communities and communities of color. We will then move to a broader discussion on health disparities and the social determinants of health. Communities of color have been largely affected by the burden of chronic disease, experiencing the highest rate of morbidity and mortality. We will also discuss the powerful role of Lifestyle Medicine to successfully address these long-standing disparities.

Learning Objectives:

1. Cite the impact of COVID-19 on communities of color.
2. Define the social determinants of health.
3. Review the impact of social determinants on health disparities.
4. Discuss the important role of a Lifestyle Medicine clinician in addressing health equity.
