My Learning Center Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I access all the courses within my learning center?

My Learning Center links are located within the Education navigation tab at lifestylemedicine.org.  Hover over the EDUCATION tab and select My Learning Center.

Sign in with your ACLM username and password. Click the green Go to Your Learning Center button to see all courses in which you’ve enrolled.

Can I access the courses on my phone or tablet?

Yes. However, optimal performance is achieved when using a laptop or desktop.

The preferred browser for ACLM’s learning management system is Google Chrome.

Is there messaging within the Learning Center? How do I contact someone for IT support within my course?

ACLM does not utilize the messaging system inside the platform and it is not monitored. If you need assistance please email [email protected].

What can I do if my course will not move forward?

Close to the top of the screen, you will see a file progression line. Click the title of the course just to the right of “Learning>” and it will take you back to the Course Home. This allows you to see an outline of each individual activity and you can go straight to the next activity you need. See screenshot below.

I am unable to successfully launch my eBook or lectures. What do I do?

One or a combination of the following suggestions should resolve the issue for you:
  • Switch to the preferred browser, Google Chrome. Firefox also seems to work well for many people. The eBook will not work on Microsoft Edge.
  • You will indeed need to allow popups on your browser. That is, turn off your popup blocker.
  • Clearing all browsing history, cookies, and cached items will give the browser a clean start. Often there is a cached item that is throwing a wrench in the works.

The eBook will not work on Microsoft Edge.

Why is my course not showing up as 100% complete?

Please go to your Course Home where you will find an outline of the course. Every line should have a green check mark next to it, except for the eBook.

Lectures will remain unchecked until you view every slide. Within the lectures, you will need to click through the slides completely. Start at the beginning and click through the slides at your own pace. Please let the last slide run to completion and hit Next.

There is also a note in your course that says that the Postwork Survey must be completed in order to complete the overall course. This survey will automatically pop up when you fully complete the course.

How can I view my eBook and my course at the same time?

The eBook can be open in one tab while the course can be open in another tab so you can have reference/access to the eBook while completing sections of the course.

Open your Learning Center in two tabs on your browser. In one tab, open the eBook (eBook is a pop-up window but the browser tab is still being used for the eBook). In the second tab, you will be free to move around your Learning Center.

How can I get back to my course outline to see my overall progress?

Close to the top of the screen, you will see a file progression line. At anytime, you can click the title of the course just to the right of Learning> and it will take you back to the Course Home. See the screenshot below.

Does the eBook need a green checkmark next to it?

No. On the "Course Home" page, the only item that does not require a checkmark for course completion is the eBook.

I am unable to successfully launch my learning activities. What do I do?

Do pre-tests only allow 1 attempt? What happens if I do not complete the pre-test in one attempt?

If the pre-test attempt is registered but does not mark itself as complete, please move on with your module and upon completion, email [email protected] for assistance with course completion.

Why is my course not showing up as 100% complete?

Within the learning activities, you will need to click on the slides that require interaction, such as the learning objectives and other slides that have popups that say to enlarge pictures. When there is a popup that says Zoom in, you will need to click out of the popup and Zoom in (interact with the slide) to fully view it. There may also be learning activities that require typing a response and clicking Submit. Then, at the end of the slides, click Submit on the slide to mark completion. At the end, the last slide may have a Submit button that you would want to click for the system to mark you complete.

How can I get back to my course outline to see my overall progress?

How can I pause my course?

To pause a slide, you can click to a different tab in your browser and the video will stop until you click back to that tab.

Is there a way to download the slides?

Yes! One of our newest additions to the LMCC course is a downloadable PDF for each presentation. They can be accessed by clicking the small paperclip next to the course title in your Learning Center. Or within the course there is a Documents tab on the Course Home page.
